Our Mission Statement

Pro-Care Spine & Medical Center is an integrative, multidiscipline group dedicated to providing compassion, clinical excellence and customer service to those we serve.

Our Story

Pro-Care has had a few names since opening its doors in Austin, Texas in 2004.   We started out as Pro-Care Chiropractic and Wellness and have since transformed into Pro-Care Spine Center and from that to our current name – Pro-Care Spine & Medical Center.  Our first building was approximately 4200 sq. ft., which was purchased with some substantial help from a family member, and without any patients to start off with, only 10% of the building was used.  Dr. Boecking started off with a small chiropractic area and an almost non-existent physical therapy area.  As the patient load grew during that first year, we began to fill the space and open more days of the week.

After a year of working every angle to build Pro-Care, Dr. Boecking convinced his brother, Brent, to join the team.   Brent was initially responsible for marketing but soon realized that the operations of a successful office didn’t happen by themselves and jumped in.  During the next year, Pro-Care grew by 3x in revenue and patient load.

We have had a consistent dream since Pro-Care’s inception – build a multi-discipline health facility that brings together medical doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists and mental health specialists.  In an effort to fulfill that dream, Pro-Care hired its first physical therapist.  During that time, our need for physical therapy area grew tremendously and we opened up a 1000 sq ft physical therapy area which had previously been divided into many small rooms.  Again, Pro-Care grew to meet the building’s expansion.

Since one office wasn’t enough of a challenge, we decided to open an office in a new city – San Antonio.  San Antonio’s business climate is very friendly and growth oriented – a perfect place for Pro-Care.  We bought a building and opened our doors in San Antonio in November 2008.  A second office has been a challenge but has sharpened our systems and staff.  We still have not reached the success we have achieved in Austin, but that gives us a beacon to drive toward every day.

Shortly after opening the San Antonio office, we added medical services and began to offer primary care and pain management.  Having several types of providers allows us to have a multitude of tools in our tool belt.  There is a saying that goes, “If you only have a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail.”  Well that is true in our field so we surround ourselves with a broad sets of skills to tackle a larger set of injuries and diseases.  Chiropractic isn’t for everybody but neither is cholesterol medication.
