Looking for Non-Surgical Options to Back and Neck Pain?
We hear these sentiments daily from our patients when they describe their past attempts to eradicate back or neck pain. Based on this kind of feedback, we have put together a multi-discipline clinic that more fully addresses less serious, but nagging, back/neck problems and stretches the bounds of non-surgical medicine to treat what typically would have required surgery.
“We offer a unique combination of Medical Doctors, Chiropractors and Physical Therapists”
Ever heard the expression, “the whole is more than the sum of its parts?” The Pro-Care Spine Center kept this expression in mind from its inception. The combination of multiple main-stream physical medicine disciplines with cutting-edge technology is giving our patients relief that none of the individual treatments were able to yield. Primarily, we combine three types of treatments under one roof: Chiropractic, Physical Therapy administered by a Dr. of Physical Therapy and Non-surgical Spinal Decompression.
Why the Combination of Chiropractic and Physical Therapy Yields Positive Results
The most common complaint we hear about chiropractic is that the adjustment doesn’t “hold”. After 3 days or a week, the pain comes back and the patient feels chained to the Chiropractor. The most common complaint we hear about physical therapists is that the patient feels like the root of the pain was never addressed. The patient feels that they have more range of motion and are stronger, but the pain persists. To avoid these problems, we focus on the three “S’s”: Structure, Strength and Stability. The chiropractor addresses the structure by physically adjusting the joint. This change in structure is accompanied by a lack of strength and stability in the surrounding tissue structures. The physical therapist addresses this lack of strength and stability with exercises and stretches. This serves two purposes: make the adjustment “hold” longer and empower the patient with the appropriate stretches and exercises that address their particular need. We work to break the cycle of dependency on our Chiropractors and Physical Therapists and empower our patients to further understand their body and how to get out of pain.
Simply put, our doctors focus where they have the most expertise. The core education of chiropractors primarily focuses on adjustment of bones and joints to facilitate optimal nervous system function while the core education of physical therapists primarily focuses on proper range of motion and strength for the afflicted region. On the other hand, Chiropractors are taught a few physical therapy techniques and Physical Therapists are taught a few bone and joint manipulation techniques, however their core competencies are clear. The Pro-Care Spine Center has simply focused the Chiropractors on adjustments and the Physical Therapists on administering physical therapy.

Spinal Decompression Yields Success for Serious Disc Injuries
Non-surgical spinal decompression is FDA-cleared and is allowing physical medicine to address serious back issues that would have previously required surgery. More serious issues such as:
- Herniated or bulging discs
- Degenerative disc disease
- Facet Syndromes
- Sciatica
- Post-surgical patients
- Spinal stenosis
Spinal decompression is computer-controlled, intermittent traction which addresses the health of the spine’s shock absorbers, the discs. This procedure helps to rehydrate the injured disc and move it back into its natural position.
We have a tremendous amount of information on our spinal decompression page for your review.
We have performed over 10,000 spinal decompression treatments with tremendous success; helping many patients that have been told that surgery is their only option. We also have 4 spinal decompression tables for your convenience.
